Halton County Council and Peel County Council met at Brampton to discuss the Halton Peel House of Refuge and the rising cost of education. Officials reviewed education funding, maintenance fees, and a plan to curtail costs while expanding intake at the refuge with 83 inmates.
The Eramosa Township council met at Rockwood with Reeve Sims McLean presiding. By law No. 1 set Eden Mills police village share at 1/62 of general expenses and an equalization plan split Eden Mills assessments 63% to Eyamosa and 37% to Nassagaweya.
