The U F P annual party featured the Harmony Orchestra and E Packepo as floor manager, with Mr and Mrs M Locker winning the prize waltz and a pleasant lunch. A quiet wedding united Elva Gertrude Murray with George D Bain at the church manse, with Rev H Bennie officiating.

Accidental shooting on Erin farm injures man to hospital
Jack Horton of Erin, aged 22, suffered a severe fracture of the left arm when a .23 rifle discharged as he tried to shoot a groundhog on his father's farm south of Erin. Dr H Gear transferred him to Guelph General Hospital for X ray examination.
