A coroner's jury found Mrs. Maria Burgmueller died March 30 in a car crash caused by impairment from alcohol. The all male Nassagawega Township jury heard evidence in Acton Town Hall and returned the verdict after about 20 minutes.

Five year old hurt in snowstorm collision near Acton
Joan Hatch daughter of Mr and Mrs Jack Hatch Glenlea subdivision Actos was struck by a car near Acton Boulevard around 1 pm Monday. She suffered a cracked collarbone and said the car drove out of a high school parking lot while she walked to M.Bennett school with a friend. Police note the driver may have been distracted by the heavy snowfall.

No bids were received for park attendant or booth concessions, readvertising for those posts and pony tile concessions was approved. County Blesses Sales Tax Despite Two Councilors Opposing

Fire Victim Off Critical List But Condition Still Serious
Algie Varey remains conscious and moved from critical to serious after severe burns from the Station Hotel fire. He was trapped in an upstairs sitting room and carried down by firefighters with a leg cast hindering escape. Caretaker Vince Heveran also hospitalized with head and facial burns but has returned home. Nine other roomers escaped via fire escapes as crews battled flames circa 3 00 am with damages around 5000.
