Two longtime residents Mr and Mrs Mahon celebrated their golden wedding after sixty years of marriage in Nussapawaya township. Guests included many relatives and friends, with tributes from Rev J T Strachan and Lieut J K Mahon recalling wartime service. A Vietrola, leather chairs, and other gifts highlighted the community’s affection for the couple and their nine children and eleven grandchildren.
