A local family from Esquesing Nassayaweya townline will appear on CHC Channel 6 Toronto’s Take Thirty on Thursday April 22 at 3 40 p.m. Mr and Mrs Gordon Thompson and children were filmed at home about a month ago to depict father child relations amid a variety of acts and guests including Kathy Hinton Linda Roe and Debbie Papillon with multiple skaters and musical interludes noted. J Bert Wood Sells Business Buys Marina at Port Severn
J Bert Wood has sold his Acton insurance business and bought a marina at No 103 Highway eight miles north of Port Severn. He departs tonight to run the marina with water taxi service boat rentals and camping facilities. Dennys Insurance buys Wood’s former agency and opens a new office in May.

A small crowd attended the North Hatton Music Festival at Acton Robert Little Public School Tuesday. TE award presentations covered multiple classes with trophies and shields donated by local organizations. Winners included J. M. Acton Chamber of Commerce hosted Civic Night at Leyton Hall with about 100 attending. Actor Billy Middleton Honored as Acton Citizen of the Year
At the Chamber of Commerce dinner Tom Watson introduced Billy Middleton as the 1968 Actor's Man of the Year. Middleton is described as a lifelong friend of the Watsons, raised in Brantford with four brothers and one sister, served as a World War I signaler, and married Helen Dalton during wartime.
