Esquesing Seeks Site For Six Room School
Esquesing school board defeated a purchase offer on 12 acres at the C Austin farm for a six room school. The board sought an option on land at Cliff Hunter farm and tasked chair R J Cunningham to discuss with the owner. They refused to forward minutes to press but had Shirley Armstrong send local papers a brief report. A $100 donation was approved for the Hation Music Festival Association and contracts for principals in the area were to be completed. A land-value committee was named to survey sites on number 5 sideroad and repairs were ordered for Limehouse pipes.

Bill Wilson was named the new district governor of the Central Ontario Y’s Men clubs at Brantford during the annual two day conference. Elm Sprayed From Helicopter In DDT Experiment
At Elm Tree Farm Wo ALN a helicopter sprayed a 85 foot Dutch elm with 28 percent DDT over 10 gallons mixed with 100 gallons water. Dr Kingscote and Dr John of Ontario Veterinary College observed with neighbors and press present. Chief pilot John Schula of Dominion Helicopter Limited operated the Huey during the field test.

Two Vehicle Crash on Main Street South injures Mrs Reid
Jack Reid of Lake Avenue was briefly hospitalized after a collision on Main Street South near Queen Street with a panel truck driven by Hartley DeForest. Mrs Reid sustained a forehead gash right elbow bruise and shock. both vehicles suffered damage roughly 300 and 100 dollars respectively.
