Acton Woman Dies In Halton's First 61 Fatality
Mrs. M. Kurgmacher 83 Mill Street died Thursday evening near Blue Springs Nursery after a Volkswagen failed to pass a tractor trailer and struck a tree. Constable William Bennett investigated. an autopsy was ordered. Born in Austria she came to Canada in 1954 and lived in Acton most of the time. She leaves two daughters Ruth and Eva, a husband Kurt, and her mother in Austria. Funeral was held Monday with burial in Fairview cemetery.

Woman Struck by Truck Injures Left Arm on Road
