Members of Lb. O. L. No. 1867 entertained about sixty couples at a Guy Fawkes dance in Majile Gent Hall. Guests enjoyed fine music by Burdwell orchestra and warm hospitality. The Matequi Council met November 5 in Municipal hall with full attendance. They approved minutes with one change and handled numerous communi cations on road widening, electric poles, and a public notice on liquor licensing amendments. The Extended River road bylaw passed three readings to create a forty foot-wide south bank Fraser road and the session adjourned to December 3.
Popular Abboteford man M. L. McPhee sailed to Bellingham with W. Black to wed Miss Teagie Gray of Bellingham today. Bridesmaid Miss Jodia Wilson and best man Mr. Black attend. After a brief honeymoon the couple will return to Abboteford Tuesday for a royal reception.
