The provincial government approves a Land Settlement board study to find best methods to bring 32000 acres of Sumas dyking area back into production. About a thousand British Columbia boys aged between sixteen and eighteen are available to help increase production. They are asked to do their part to aid in war efforts, addressing labor shortages. Application forms are available at post offices or from Tatues H. Beatty in Parliament Buildings, Victoria. Food will aid in winning the war.
Mr and Mrs Alex Matheson travel with Hiss Heatvica Matheson and Poe A Matheson to Abbotsfard on Friday to attend the May Day celebration. The trip underscores social ties and local festivity as residents join regional events.

Mrs Henry Smith of New Westminster formerly of Abbotsford was a visitor to Abbotsford last week. The Women’s Auxiliary whist party raised 4 25. Various visitors from Vancouver and Victoria noted with local families. The Mt Tehminch concert impressed nine Abbotsford attendees. Missionary Day featured reports by Mrs Robertson and Mrs McMenemy.
