Welcome Home Surprise for Basil Topper at Mount Mary Ann
A large welcome home party was held Friday evening near Mount Mary Ann to honor Basil Topper, returning from four years of military service. About forty relatives and friends from Misalon, Uauvic, and Mr. Mary Ann attended at the Topper residence. The gathering featured music, singing, and games, with refreshments served. An immated address was presented to Private Basil Topper by Truitt in appreciation of his patriotism and service. Midnight brought a final chorus of the National Anthem and good cheer.
