Death of Mr Turnbull at Huntingdon reflects local loss
The sudden death of Delmar William Turnbull, a longtime merchant and former Abbotsford resident, occurred on Tuesday March 16 in Huntingdon after a brain abscess. Born in Bear River Nova Scotia on June 27 1874 he moved to New Westminster then Abbotsford in 1900, later running a general store and managing the Huntingdon post office. He is survived by two sisters and was a member of Loyal Orange Lodge No 1807. Funeral services were held Thursday at St Paul’s Church in Huntingdon with many from Abbotsford and nearby districts in attendance. Interment followed at Musselwhite Cemetery.

James Williams born November 27 1830 in Kingsland Herefordshire England died March 12 in Pine Grove aged over 84. He emigrated to Canada in 1870 settling near Brantford then moved to Vancouver before returning to Pine Grove. Survived by three sons James Thomas and Robert H and two daughters Anna and Rosie. one daughter Jane died in Vancouver. He was a Liberal and active in Union Church life. Funeral March 16. Interment at Aberdeen.
