Man Injured in Industrial Accident at Mill
Colin Solloway sustained a serious leg injury when his pant leg caught in shafting at a mill. He was rushed to Dr. Stuart for surgery as witnesses report the sawyer halted the mill immediately. Doctors hold out high hopes for the crushed limb's speedy recovery. Harry Eby has leased the former Sumner real estate and will open a confectionery business.

Sumas council enacts road and indemnity matters 1911
The Sumas municipal council met on Saturday with Reeve and Councillors D W Mackenzie Cy Everett and H C Stinson. They approved road projects and contracts and set indemnities for 1911. By law 411 the rate was set at 11 cents, and school rate by law 112 set at 2 mills. They passed several road works bills and reported on the O’Donnell road. The Board of Trade met in Abbotsford with talks on mail service and grade crossings.
