Su wor council meeting notes outline road works and grants
The Su wor council met on a Saturday in August with Reeve Angus Campbell and councillors present. Delegates chosen for New Westminster convention
At an August 16 meeting the Vergeates appointed delegates to attend the convention at New Westminster. Names include Hill-Tout W Taylor J J McPhee and others from Abbotsford, Upper Sumas, and neighboring towns. The council discussed the Western Canada Power Company road request and approved a 66 foot wide highway with a 40 foot road bed for 3600. The next meeting set for September 2. Market report notes mixed poultry and fruit prices with no wholesale meat changes.
