Dorland Expelled From Pastime A C For Unattached Competition
LeRoy Dorland once captain of the Pastime Athletic Club and holder of the 200 yard indoor record was expelled after months of being out of good standing. Officials charged the runer with competing unattached, sparking a meeting where all present except captain Harry Smith voted to expel him. Dorland, who has been in athletics five years and earned many titles, previously sought to transfer to other clubs but remained with the Pastime A C.
