Performers to Sing In Sacred ConcertThe Sixteen Singing Men. a well known recording group in the field of sacred music, will be appearing in sacred concert. Sunday, November 5 in South Holland.The concert, under the auspices of Calvin Christian school will be appearing at 8 p.m. at the new Thorn Creek Reformed church, on 170th street between Calumet Expressway and Torrence avenue.The Melody Four Quartet, Bill Pearce and Dick Anthony are part of the Sixteen Singing Men and will be singing separately during the concert.UNDER the direction of Dick Anthony, the 16 men are recognized for their smooth mellow sound. The group has also recorded under such names as the Choristers, Dick Anthony's Singing Men, the Radio Bible Class Men of Music, and Billy Graham’s Hour of Decision Crusader Men. The men in the group have been responsible for over 150 feature records.Since first sinking in the radiostudios of radio station WMBI the Melody Four has become known through concerts, radit and recordings. The group ineludes Clair Hess and Ray Fel ton from Grand Rapids anc Glenn Jorian and Bill Pearce from Chicago.Bill Pearce and Dick An thony, are known for their duel renditions for sacred music Pearce has been associatec with the Moody Bible Institute department of broadcasting for over 20 years as a program personality, instrumentalist arK vocalist. His radio broadcast, Nightwatch, is heard on more than 100 stations.Anthony is a tenor soloist, organist, pianist and composer. He serves as executive producer of Day of Discovery, a weekly gospel telecast aired nationally in color via the television division of Radio Bible class.Admission is by advance ticket only.
