The parents left Sunday morning, accompanied by a son, Bud. of “Mason City.Rians of Miss Gopierud were to fly to Seattle from Chicago, thence to Korea. There her brother, Capt. Peder Gopierud, is stationed, having left the U. S. A.; in July. He is with the 121st evacuation hospital. His wife and son, Peder III, are at the maternal Dr, Harry Ehred home in Forest City,•Foreign’duty is no new experience to Miss Gopierud who was overseas most of the time during the last World war when she left hex’ teaching duties at Ames to do her bit for her country.In that war she achieved national publicity for her work.
