for republican success everywhere.SKETCH OF A CENTENARIAN.The following sketch of Joseph Delia ugh. father of William DeGaugh, of Ripley township, Huron county, has been furnished us for publication. The senior Mr. DeGaugh, who was a veteran of two wars, was over one hundred years old when his death occurred:Joseph DeGaugh. who died at Red Oak, la. in November, 1904. was born at Woodstock, Vt.. in 1800, making him H*4 years at the time of his death. When he was twenty-two years old he was married to Miss Mary Burdue, of Berlin Heights. Six children were born to them.Mr. DeGaugh was in the Mexican war and served in the civil war. in the Ninth Pennsylvania Cavalry. Two of his sons also served with him in the civil wrar.
