Jr.. 23. i3 missing-in action : Inver Poland. Lieutenant Porter -Iis a son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester 11 Porter, now of Toledo. The family lived In Findlay for many years and for a long time Mr. Porter was clerk of the Findlay board of education.Lieutenant Porter is one of five sons who enlisted in the armed service. A brother. Pvt. Joel Porter was killed in action In Africa a year ago last July.A bomber pilot. Lieutenant Porter had been overseas since early spring and had been In service for two years.Brothers in the army are Pvt. r Robert Porter, stationed on the 11 west coast; Pvt. George Porter in the Southwest Pacific area and Cpl. Comer Porter who is on his way back to Greenland after a furlough home.
