Wc occupy County fairgrounds, being twenty acres * grounded by a high tight board fence, find shotted with oak trees. Our barracks arcbo*ird .s^’uctuj'cs, fifty-five by sixteen feet, each build! being divided by a petition extending through the center front end to end. The berths arc built against the petition on either .side, extending the entire length of the barracks; there arc three tiers four and ono half feet in width, each tier being divided into eight berths, making forty-eight in each barrack, capable of accommodating ninety-six soldiers. The barracks are twenty lcefc apart: each Co, occupying the right and left half of the two adjacent buildings, the space between them being culled a Street, named after the Captains respectively. Ours being f‘Iloclges St.” The barrack a am eleven in number, those on the extreme right and left being half width, thus making ten streets and accommodations for the entire Regiment. Each half of each building is lighted by six half windows and has three entrances. The roof ia made of hoards, but being half pitch sheds the rain completely. Our ta-i bles are without shade or shelter.
