TWO LOCAL MEN ABEREPOBTEI) IN THECASUALTY LISTThe casualty list issued from Washington Monday contained the names of Privates Charles V. Gilchrist of Spencer and Glenn D. Hall of Panona. (Both of these men were wounded on July IB and relatives have been advised of the fact.Private Gilchrist’s father lived in Spencer until last spring when he moved to Sioux Rapids where he died some time ago. Two sisters reside at Sioux Rapids. He is a cousin of Mrs. R. H. Wingate of this city. The telegram received by relatives a week ago advises that he was injured by shrapnel.Hall’s accident was reported in these columns on August 21. He is a son of Mrs. Earl Hall and a cousin of Mrs. J. 0. Levea. He is a member of Co. E. of the 168 Inf., the Rainbow division. He has written relatives that he has been transferred from the French army hospital to the American hospital He was hit by a high explosive shell. Hall’s mother, who lives in Spencer now, lived at Panora at the time he enlited.Gilchrist enlited at Albert City, where he was employed at the time.
