I92S. in Ohio.An El Dorado County resident for more than nine years, Mr, Sinkovic retired in I WO. after seven years as a mechanics sujiervisor with the Los Angeles Rapid Transit District. He had worked in Egypt ami Iran lor the International Educational Complex and was the training site dircclor for Operating Engineers Local No. 12 .as well as a member, in southern California. He was a member of the West Park Slovenian Home uf Cleveland. Ohio. He loved listening to polka music, was an avid stamp and coin collector, loved hunting, camping and gardening.He is survived by his wife, Nadine Sinkovic of Pheervillc. his sons John Henry Sinkovic Jr., of Santa Clara, his stepson. Denny ISergi|uist of Clairmont. his daughter. Linda Marie Thompson of Santa Ciu/. and stepdaughters. Marcia Pierce of Monrovia and Lynn Matson of Plaeetville. his sisters, Albina Brodnik ol Port Richey, Ida., and Dorothy Dickey of Gouldsboro. Pa., seven grandchildren, andone great-grandchild.Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16 at Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home with Rev. Sue Berry officiating. Interment will be ai Westwood Hills Memorial Park in PiaecrvUle.Remembrances may he made to the American Cancer Society.
