An important revision of tire Army’s volunteer officer Candidate (VOC plan was announced yesterday at the New Cumberland Army reception center. New Cumberland, •Pa., to where the majority of selectees from this city and Delaware county are dispatched following: induction. The change in plan is to meet a “pressing need” for qualified applicants for officer candidate training in certain branches of theArmy.Major William R. Lepper* presi-; dent of the VOC examining board! at the reception center, revealed,! that until further notice, volunteer officer candidates inducted into the Army in the future, will be admitted only to the following officer training schools upon successful completion of their 13-weeks basic militarytraining.Anti-aircraft artillerv. Armed Force, cavalry, Coast Artillery, Engineer, Held Artillery, Infantry, Ordnance, Signal, Tank Destroyer and Chemical Warfare Service.VOC's inducted into the Army during September and thereafterMajor Lepper states, will not be admitted co the following officer schools due to the large number of accepted applicants within the military service:Army Air Forces Administrative, Army Administrative, Quartermaster, Medical, Administrative, Finance The Adjutant General’s and Military Police.Qualified VOC’s whose induction or processing at reception centers is now being accomplished, or has been authorized, will not be affected by the above mentioned limitations.TllnuiA 1 ft. rA ____*
