Memorial Scroll Tribute to Lt. Vincent P. HowardA memorial scroll commemorating the bravery of their son, Lt. Vincent P. Howard, was received by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Howard, 2009 South 8th avenue, from President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Lt. Howard, pilot of a C-47 plane in the Troop Carrier Command, was killed on July 11, during the invasion of Sicily.A brother, Edward J. Howard, was recently promoted to the rank of corporal at Coffeyville* Kan., where he is a reconnaissance photographer with the Army Air Forces.
