Some fellows who have been herii seven months say that they were not paid a cent till last pay day and that was August 19th and then they only received $5.00. Last week we were on the river building, pontoon bridges. Believe me that is some interesting work. I was in charge . of twenty-two men carrying cheats. The chests are made out of planks 1 2or 14 feet long and 12 feet wide. Friday we had a test and’ Co., B built the bridges in 25 minutes, 2 minutes ahead of our nearest rival. The old record was 36 minutes. We then tore it down in 12 minutes. We beat them all and hold the record. •“It sure is a great old company, some of the finest fellows you ever. met. This week we have rifle drill' and range work and then comes our | gas tests and over sea exams.
