This reg-i imet has their over sea officers^ so! you see we probably will get the dq-' vil for about two weeks and then good byefweT’e are off in a ouneh. Believe me they are strict in a regiment. This one was cleaned out last Friday ■officers and all for duty in Siiberia and Russia. There were 7200 men left Friday night 3000 blacks and the rest whites, I hope we go to France or Italy. . .We did not sign the pay roll so! we get no money the first of Sep-! tember and by the first of October the Lord only knows whether %ve will be alive or not. I am sure I don’t know.I suppose I ought to have my picture taken before I go over but they charge so flamed much for a 1 decent picture that it would bankrupt me at our, present salary of nothing' per day, • f jThe work is generally good, that is’ on any work which is done at the Post Exchange but the others are poor. t‘ Hoping this finds you well and I hope prosperous. Well, I will keep! you posted as to my where abouts as! near as possible. . I rerpain Your Loving Sona j .. Harold.bend my mail to old address and register all important mail. Y, M.C. A. No. 50,
