[COMPANY F’S ANNUAL REUNE.Pleasant Meeting Held by Old Soldiers at Farmer Center.Following account of a soldiers reunion recently held at Farmer Center is from the Hicksville News:Forty years ago, August 23rd, was the date that Co. F. of the 11th O. V. I. marched from Farmer Center to be sworn into the U. S. service, and their reunion on last Saturday fell on that date.The program was opened ana closed by prayer by Rev. J. i*. Hootman and plenty of music was also interspersed in the program.The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:President—H. C. Hootman.Vice President—Ed Hale.Corresponding Secretary—A. Forlow.Recording Secretary—V. S. Haller.Treasurer—W. F. Horton.Letters were read from Warren Shaw at Independence, Kansas, Sergeant George Miller at Greshem Nebraska, Delos Hastings at Bradshaw, Nebraska, and Capt. J. E. Hill at Salt Lake City, Utah, who is at the bedside of a very sick son in that city. The captain also has another son with the 28th Inf. in the Philippines. M. E. Tharp also sent a letter from Paola, Kansas, where he is known as “Buckeye Bill.” The oldest of his four boys is about to join him in his stock engineering business.
