I3F*We learn from Mr. James Norman, carpenter of the Samuel Orr, that the principalactors in the capture of that boat ■were the crew and officers of the W. B. Terry, and that it was doue as a retaliatory measure. He says theboat was Immediately taken up the Tennesseeriver. A short distance up that stream the boat was landed, and the *‘d— —d Lincoln crew,’* as they were politely termed, were hurriedly put ashore, except two free negroes of Evans-! ville, who were detained and taken up the river.
