Terry, and that it was doue as a retaliatory measure. He says theboat was Immediately taken up the Tennesseeriver. A short distance up that stream the boat was landed, and the *‘d— —d Lincoln crew,’* as they were politely termed, were hurriedly put ashore, except two free negroes of Evans-! ville, who were detained and taken up the river.
