®*We learn from Mr. Janies Norman, carpenter of the Samuel Orr, that the principalactors in the capture of that boat were the crewand officers of the W, B. Terry, and that it wag done as a retaliatory measure. He says theboat was immediately taken up the Tennessee river. A short distance up that stream the boat was landed, and the **d——d Lincoln crew/'as they were politely termed, were hurriedly put ashore, except two free negroes of Evans-1ville, who were detained and taken up the river.
