SEPT. 2,1942■ Two Wood River churches would have note-burning ceremonies. The First Baptist Church and the Assembly of God Church would conduct services on Friday and Sunday evenings, respectively.■ Service men of the area were stationed at the following bases: Pvt. John L. Ferris in the Pacific war zone; Pvt. Theodore E. Oseland at San Diego; and Gerald Ames and Athen White at Great Lakes Naval Training Center.
