M., in obedience to orders .from Gen. Wade Hampton, chief marshal of the procession in honor of the laying of the corner-stout; of the monument in memory of Geri. Robert 13. Standing on Main street and looking up or down as far as the eve reaches, flags and banners can be seen in abundance. Our people have outdone themselves in this respect. They have made a good display and if the weather would but clear off ibis afternoon the dis-.play would be even more attractive and beautiful.The cornerstone is all ready and sealed.
