He was stationed in West Virginia prior to going overseas, where he was first based in England.A graduate of Proviso high school in 1939, he was employed by the American Can company. He attended evening school andjust before he was called into the army he had completed a course in air conditioning and refrigeration engineering.In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sisters, Antoinette, Rose, and Elvira.
