The arch, which will face on Twenty*| first Street is to extend the entiro width of Universtiy Avenue.Construction will start the mid-| die of November when final approval of the plans will be givenby the Regents.A committee composed of J. W. Calhoun, comptroller of the University, chairman; Dr. M. R-Gutsch, professor of English history; Dr. W. J. Battle, professor of classical languages; C. D. Simmons, associate professor of statistics; and W. L. McGill, president of the Ex-Students’ Association, has been selected to write an inscription for the tablet and to compile a complete list of names of these former students.
