Garrie O. HeryfordA graveside service will be held for Garrie 0. Heryford. 89. of OrovjHe, at I p.m. Monday. Oct. 25,1999, in the Ukiah cemetery. Mr. Heryford died Wednesday, Oct. 20,1999, at Oroville Hospital.He was born Jan. 3, 1910, to Clemens and Della Heryford in Peachland, Calif. He worked for the state for 33 years as a game warden, serving in different locations throughout the state. He lived in Ukiah for most of his life and had recently moved to the Oroville area to be near his son.Mr. Heryford enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a San Francisco Giants fan. He was a member of the Abel Lodge FM in Ukiah and a member of the Shriners.Mr. Heryford was a second-generation Californian. His family originally settled in Modoc County in the late 1800s.He married Dimond Butler in Ukiah on Sept. 16, 1933.Survivors include his wife, Dimond, his wife of 66 years; son Garrie. of Oroville; brother Ted, of Santa Rosa; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter MaryMemorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children Hospitals. Arrangements arc under the direction of Ramsey-Newton-Bracewell Funeral Directors.
