He was wounde in the leg and began to era toward the rear for medic, aid. After advancing a short di: tance he was confronted by grinning Chinese who threw grenade at him. The grenad: struck his helmet, bounced of and exploded nearby. He wai knocked unconscious by thblast artd his only injury frothe grenade was the loss of tooth. When he recovered co., sciousness he feigned death un til the enemy withdrew.On Friday'night a telephone call was received by the par ents from Cpi. Morgan, win is now in Honolulu. Cpi.
