Only Bat* ry A with its 140 enlisted aristocrats, command of Captain E. B. Richard-»n, paraded, the balance of the outtit ■maining to unload the long train of ores and baggage.Thousands of cheering spectators lined ic down town streets as the battery vept by. The crowd was exceptionally ense near City Hall, where Mayor urley reviewed the boys.At the State House they were renewed by Secretary of State Bangley, tate Treasurer Burrill, Councillors iuckley, Wasgatt, Andrews and Mulli-an, Lieutenant - Colonel Jesse F. tevBtis and Lieutenant George L. ‘rescott, in the absence of Governor[cCall and Adjutant-General Pearson, rho were out of the city.Captain Richardson made a brief ad-ress. reminding them that they were till in the federal service, and although tiey had done a good trick, not to for-et that they had not as yet been mus-ered out.
