Camp Ritchie To Be ContinuedReservation To Operate On A Partial Basis Into 1946Contrary to a multitude of reports circulating in Hagerstownover the wek-end, a high-rankingArmy officer declared last night©that' Camp Ritchie would continue to operate.Rumors were current that the camp would be abandoned, except for small maintenance detachments, October 15.Col. M. A. Walter, commanding officer, told the Morning Herald last night the camp would continue to operate, but added that along with general Army demobilizing, Camp Ritchie would naturally decrease its personnel.
