ROBERT A. JOHNSONMr, Robert Albert Johnson, aye 38 years died at his home at Stony Point Sunday at 4 o’clock after being- critically ill for several months. Funeral service was held from the Baptist church of which he was a member Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock, conducted by his ! pastor, Rev. C. C. Holland, assisted by Rev. T, J. Houck and Rev. J. H. Bradley. Pall bearers were world war veterans, Messrs. Latta Combs, Tillet Combs, Neri Beckham, Bert Foys, David Stewart, Willie Harris. Flowers were in charge of Miss Anne Baker and Mrs. David Ball, and carried by 30 friends of the family.' The large congregation and the many beautiful flowers showed the high esteem in which he was held in the town and community.Mr. Johnson was a world war veteran, having enlisted in April 1918 and served over seas in the medical corps from August 1918 to May 1919. He has been in poor health for three years from having been gashed over seas. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Cleo Payne Johnson and six sisters and two brothers.
