Anderson, live in Holmes, and other members of the 8th Infantry Division participated in a field training exercise and test in Germany, ending September 21.Specialist McDonald underwent extensive training in bridge building and the maintenance of road and airstrips during the simulted combat exercise.The 24-year-old soldier, a crew chief in Company E of the 12th Engineer Battalion near Dex-heim, Germany, entered the Army in July 1957.
