Death of Mrs. M. C. HumphreyThe death, of Mrs. Maurice C. Humphrey, which occurred at the family home, at Mud Creek, four miles south of this village, on Wednesday afternoon of last week, was a great shock to the people of this community, as it was not known that she vas ill.Mrs. Humphrey was bom at Adams September 23, 1897, a daughter of Hardy and the late Carrie Gardner Switzer. Upon the death of her moth-»er she made her home with an aunt and uncle at Fulton, where she re-fceived her education. She was married on November 21, 1917, to Maurice C. Humphrey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Humphrey and since had resided on the farm near this village.Mrs. Humphrey had a very amiable and happy disposition and will be greatly missed by her large circle of friends, but more especially in the home where the three little ones are left motherless. In her daily life Mrs. Humphrey was governed by a true Christian spirit.Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Stanley and Orville, and a daughter, Esther Louise; her father, Hardy Switzer, of Adams; two sisters, Miss Mabel Switzer, of Adams, and Mrs. Albert Hart, of Plessis, and two brothers, Henry Switzer, who enlisted in the army in lSn^and is now in Belgium, and Albeit Switzer, of Adams.The funeral was held from the Humphrey home Friday afternoon at one o’clock, .the Rev. Mr. Adams pastor of the Three Mile Bay Baptist church, officiating. The body was placed m the vault at Riverside cemetery,# ■
