D. 1, were notified Friday that their son, Pfc. Delbert Roy Maccombs, age20, had been killed in action in France on Aug. 5.Mr. and Mrs. Fred H. Beveridge, New Marshfield, received word Friday that their son, Pvt. Paul Edwin Beveridge, age 26, has been missing in action in Belgium sinceSept. 6.Pfc. Maccombs, former Messen-‘r'ca| g«»rscarrier at Kimberly, was in the infantry and had been in the service si*ce April 20, 1943. Besides his parents, he leaves five brothers and four sisters, all at home, and his grandmother, Mrs. Cora Cun-ningham, Murray City. He was un-I married.Private Beveridge, a graduate of Union Furnace High School with the class of 1935, was inducted Dec. 31, 1943, received his basic training at Ft. McClellan, Ala.,^ and arrived overseas in July. Hewas Browning Automatic Rifleman in his outfit.He married Mary Evelyn Martin, of Nelsonville five years ago and they have one son, Gary Paul, age 4.
