Food Served Free Hv♦Auxiliary On TuesdayW •Nearly 300 members oi the Glenn Dyer Post No. 247 of the American Legion enjoyed a delicious free dinner prepared by the Auxiliary with its usual ability. Chairman of this affair was Mrs. Jane Adcock, who was aided by the efficient and con* genial Auxiliary assistants.As it was a membership dinner it was also First Vice Commander W. G. Coombs* night so the gavel was taken over by him for the evening’s program. Commander Tom Sherlockwas welcomed back after an illness of many weeks. District Commander I oren Mvers. District First V;u John Hopkins, District Second Vice Gus Utz were present, all giving a short talk. Among many prominentguests present, mm Mr. EmoryHardwick, local newspaper man.Mr. Charles Gibson introduced A. N. Multer, Mr. D. Munger, Mr. Sam Owens, and Mr. Clovis Beach, who j spoke on the present Sixth War-Bond Drive. Mr. Beach went into! detail regarding the urgent need for 100 per cent support in the present drive, as he stated $250,000.- j 000 was expended every 24 hours inthe oroseeufinn nt rhic war
