(Clara) Huggett, 4308 Maywood Drive, Bryan, was named Brazos County Citizen of the Month Tuesday by the College Station Kiwanis Club.Mrs. Huggett has been active in civic work both officially and unofficially, according to Al Korte, the club’s business and public affairs committee chairman.She was the first bookmobile director in the community, Korte said, using her own car for deliveries.She is a member of the board of directors of the Community House and served as a voulunteer tutor for high school students at the house.“She also has tutored college students, Korte said, “and not only has proofread and corrected their papers, she's typed them for students who couldn’t afford to hire a typist.Anothor activity he noted was Mrs. Huggett's work with students’ wives, teaching them to sew and helping wives of foreign students with cpeech and adjustment problems.Mrs. Huggett is active In the AM Presbyterian Church and Girl Scouts and serves as a'mmmvolunteer at the Central Brazos Valley Mental Health Center.
