Kibby, has returned to New London, Conn., aboard the Coast Guard cutter Owasco after a one-month patrol in the North Atlantic Ocean.Marine Privates John B Whaley, son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Whaley, 1062 S. Union, and Rene H. Essex, son of Mrs. William Schaub, 415 S. Collett, completed two weeks o f training under simulated combat conditions in the fundamentals of day and night patroling, employment of infantry weapons, survival methods and assault tactics at Camp Pendleton, Calif.Army Specialist Four Thomas E. Farmer, 21, son of Mr.and Mrs. Karry V. Farmer, Rt. 1, Arcadia, is participating in a field training exercise at Ft. Carson, Colo.Spec.
