Col. Rosenthal and Meissen.Dresden FigurinesOne of the most unusual is a sun maiden, a figure of a nude woman standing on one toe on a sphere with both arms stretched out to the sun. Another prize collector's item is a small Dresden figure, scarcely four Inches tall, dressed in native costume. The skirt is of white clay that is so delicately spun that It cannot be told from starched lace. Several Chinese pieces of pottery that were given to Col. Maxwell by the Chinese diplomat in Austria are also Included in the display.
