: Lincoln Romps : To 40-0 Win, • Ties for Crown; ROLLA, Mo. - UPI — Lincoln University completed 1 its football season with a 9-1 record Thursday, tied for first place with Northwest Missouri in the Missouri Intercollegiate Athletic Association The University of Missouri-Rolla found Thursday a bleak Thanksgiving after the 40-0 pasting Rolla received at the hands of Lincoln.Four touchdown passes by James Lang and a 100-yard interception play highlighted the final league action of the season.Lincoln racked up 21 points in the first quarter on Lang passes of 48 and 22 yards to Johnny McDaniels and Phil Doolin respectively and the interception by Bruce Johnson in Lincoln’s own end zone which he ran back for the score. Extra points were allied from the toes of Tyrone Allen and Oliver Paige.Touchdown passes of 18 and 13 yards were also lobbed by* Lang to James Anderson and | McDaniels. Reserve quar-; terback Cornelius Presidentadded another 18-yarder to Winfred Pickens.
