TEACHERS ANDWorked at high school three days aiding Fairfield motoristsOver 70 teachers and pupils took part in the huge task of register- j ing an estimated 1519 Fairfield residents making application for gasoline rationing coupons at the high school last week.More than 70 more teachers also j worked in the rural schools, and in other towns in the county.The registration was carried out in an efficient manner last Thursday. Friday and Saturday. The teachers and pupils all volunteered their work which was greatly appreciated by members of the ration board. |Miss Helen Winn. Instructor at the high school, was building administrator in charge of the detail work.Those who helped during the gasoline registration ieriod in Fairfieldlast week are as follows: jDillon Lowell, Wanda Utterback | Elizabeth Maasdam, Mildred Henry, Hazel Kellogg, H. I. Storey and Ariel Leach. (Th? above named special teachers took part in the registration i during the day on Thursday and Friday.The following teachers worked Friday evening and Saturday morn-ing: IMargaret Ford, Estella Williamson. Gladys Banghart, Georgia Sammons, Kathleen Eller, Madr Ion Peterson, Ada Edwards, Julia McClain. Leo DeKalb. Keith Priz er, Grare Calvert, Florence Roth,J A Hoerner Ruth Van Fleet was custodian of records.Students who acted as typists andfilled out the necessary blanks andbooks were: Marv Ellen MullenixDoris Courtney, Gene Storey, Ruth Schafer. Dorothy Brereton, Betty Mills, Jean Oliver, Mary Leech, Lou Jean Rowley, Ruth Rlngelspach,Doris McCormick, Bernadine Bon-ser, Neva Thoma, Mary Helen Frcv Betty Gaumer. Norma Parcell, Mildred Smith and Mary Evalyn Summers The registration for gasoline rationing prompted many Fairfield and Jefferson county residents to turn in their •‘extra'* tires Over 1000 were delivered to the local express office prior to and during the three-day registration.
