The War of Blood is Over; On With WarFor Humanity#November 11th. 1918, goes down in history as the greatest of all days in the history of the world. The people of today, even in the midst of their celebration* of victory can scarcely realize the tremendous importance lt;»f wh:tl has occurred.The great war has cost rivers of hlood and treasure, all of which it would have heen better to have saved had it heen posshite. And yet if we can look adown the centuries to came we shall realize that out of the great sacrifices of this giant struggle there will come good in many1V*VQ.The people of America will never forget the part played in this war by the brave hoys who hared their breasts to the storm of battle, many of whom sleep beneath the soil of France or beneath ocean’s waves, nor those of equal bravery who were fortunate enough to be spared the su-prerae sacrifice. First to those who gave their.all and then to those who were willing to give their all a grateful re-, public owes the deepest homage of affection.The allied soldiers of the world and the people of allthe allied countries have done their full duty. No com-•parisons of bravery or devotion or sacrifice need lie made. But it is natural that in tills hour we should turn with pride to what was done by the great American nation of which we are a part.A nation utterly unprepared two years ago, with but n small army and navy, with practically no equipment or ammunitions, this country has leaped into the front rank
