WAR MEMORIAL FOR ESSEX £Of timely interest was the fervent plea made at the as- i£ sembly at Pratt High School on Friday for an appropriate j £ memorial to the men and women who served in the WorldWar.It would certainly appear that Essex has lagged behind many of its neighbor towns in honoring its veterans with apermanent war memorial.The only emblem of this nature is the framed honor rollnow hanging in the hallway of the municipal building.Here is a task to engage the minds and hearts of anywide awake group.There are plenty of ways to raise funds that nimble minds can devise and for a cause so worthy, any group should ! entercounter nothing but patriotic cooperation.
