#Post 354 members honor war heroesBy ROB MILAZZOTelegraph staff writerGODFREY — Members of American Legion Post 354 celebrated Veterans Day Saturday at Rocky Fork African Methodist Episcopal Church, where three Civil War veterans were among those honored,Arasmuth Green, A.J Hindmen and John Davidson, all Civil War veterans, are laid to rest on church grounds. Green served from 1863 to 1866 in the 56th Missouri Volunteer Colored Infantry. He founded Rocky Fork church and was its first pastor. Hindmen, Green’s friend and second pastor of the church, served with Green in the 56th And Davidson, who served in the 17th, 46th and 125th Volunteer Colored Infantry, rose from private to lieutenant during his time in the ArmySeven veterans in all are buried in the church cemetery.“We have a great deal to be proud of,” Fred■ See POST, Page A11
