Spies. 70. of 1803 4th street, died Friday at Archbishop Bergan Mercy hospital in Omaha of injuries sustained Oct. 20 in a traffic accident.Funpral services will beconducted at 10 a.m. Monday at»Sl. Anthony Catholic church, with Fr. Armand Lubanskiofficiating, and burial will be in St. Bonaventure cemetery. The body is to lie in state after 1 pm. Sundav at MeKown Funeral Home where rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Sunday by the Holy Name Society and 8 p.m. bv family.He was born Jan. 28. 18DB, at Genoa, the son of Valentine and Margaret Jaworski Spies, and was educated in Ewing.Mr. Spies was married to Stella Wruble Nov. 20. 1924, at Krakow. They were residents of Columbus the past 13 years.He was a member of St. Anthony church and the Holy Name Society.Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. William i Victoria I Czapla and Mrs. MiirceJ (Gertrude) Czapla, and one son, Walter Spies, all of Columbus; 2 3 grandchildren.
